Winslet gives it away
Star of Eternal Sunshine helps eating disorder charities
Kate Winslet has given away cash she won from a libel after claims she visited a diet doctor.
Winslet won damages from Grazia magazine in March because it said the Titanic star visited the Chinese Healing Institute in California to help her lose weight.
She is giving the settlement to eating disorder charities and has previously been vocal in denouncing womens mags portrayal of thin women.
The money will be split between three charities which help with the problem including Norfolk based Beat. Mary George from Beat (who received 3,000) told the BBC: "This is a very thoughtful way of highlighting the issue."
Well done Kate
