Katherine Jenkins Calls Cops Over Twitter Threats

Katherine Jenkins has reportedly contacted the police after receiving violent threats over online rumours of an affair with David Beckham.

The Welsh singer was forced to deny online talk of a fling with Becks last week, describing the rumours as "hurtful and untrue".

But Twitter trolls have since responded by threatening to "kill" or "cut" the opera star.

And Katherine's spokesperson has since confirmed that the offending tweets have been reported to the police "due to the serious nature of the threats".

Yesterday, The Sun newspaper quoted a friend of Jenkins as saying: "She was disgusted by the abuse because it was so sinister and scary... When she saw the messages she straight away wanted to protect herself by getting police involved."

The pal added: "The threat to 'cut' her got to her the most. That guy crossed the line."

According to The Metro, police are now investigating the threats.
