Katherine Jenkins: "I Had To Stand Up For Myself"

Katherine Jenkinshas explained her decision to take toDavid Beckham, stating she had to "stand up" for herself.

Last month, the Welsh singer posted a series of tweets on the social-networking site slamming the "horrible" accusations, stating that she had only ever met Becks twice.

The 32-year old has now opened up about her ordeal, telling The Mirror at the GQ Men of the Year Awards earlier this week: "I found myself in a situation where I had to say something. It was a bad week."

Jenkins was later forced to call the police after receiving abuse from Twitter trolls, who had threatened to "kill" the opera star.

When asked how she was feeling following the allegations, Katherine said: “You know what, I’m OK now, but I really felt like I had to stand up for myself and I had to put it right. Hopefully it’s all dying down now."

Jenkins went on to add that since tweeting her denial, she's received a “totally positive” response from the public.
