Katie Holmes 'Confiding In American Idol Producer'
Katie Holmes has allegedly been crying on the shoulder ofAmerican Idol producerTom Cruise.
According to The Sun, the ex-Dawson's Creek actress has been 'talking regularly' to Lythgoe - who was branded Nasty Nigel on reality TV series Popstars - and will make her first public appearance alongside him later this month.
Holmes is set to host the Dizzy Feet Foundation fundraiser in Los Angeles on 28th July, where she will join Nigel and Adam Shankman - who directed Cruise's latest flick, Rock of Ages - at the party.
A source told the newspaper: "Katie has been in regular touch with Nigel recently as they organise the event. They’re hosting a party together to raise money for her charity in LA later this month.
“Cat Deeley will be there, too, because she hosts Nigel’s show So You Think You Can Dance.”
In other related news, Tom has wrapped filming on new movie Oblivion - with a snap emerging of the actor smiling as he posed with the rest of the cast and crew.
Speaking of Cruise, a worker on the set told The Sun: "Tom is a really genuine guy. He’s professional and gets the job done but he understands the teamwork that goes on and treats everyone on set as a close friend.
“It was one of the biggest crews I’ve ever seen for a movie but Tom made time to speak to everyone and thank everyone for working so hard on the movie.
They continued: “What has happened in his private life was never brought up on set and you would never have guessed from how upbeat he was at all times.
“It was a gruelling shoot and everyone was very tired so you could have forgiven Tom for wanting to leave as soon as we wrapped. But he insisted on sticking around, chatting to everyone and posing for photos."
They added: “You really do become like a family on set and it’s always bittersweet when a shoot ends and you all have to say goodbye.
“There were tears, but none from Tom – he seemed really happy.”
Cruise's lawyer Bert Fields has since stated that Tom plans to see six-year old daughter Suri "very soon", after reports suggested[uuid=4a266958-a01d-44b7-8bd3-1dd65aabe00b] they would be reunited last weekend.[/uuid]
