Katie Holmes and daughter Suri Cruise have reportedly been involved in a minor car accident.
According to The Daily Mail, the former Dawson's Creek actress and the six-year old were said to be travelling in the back of a chauffeur driven Mercedes when it was stuck by a dump truck on Monday (16th July).
No one was hurt in the collision, with police arriving at the scene to document the damage on the Mercedes - which was dented and scratched as a result of the smash.
It is thought the Volvo dump track had reversed into Holmes' car, with reports stating that it is unclear whether the pair were in the vehicle as they were not seen at the scene.
Holmes - who announced her divorce from Tom Cruise last month - was earlier spotted leaving Manhattan's Chelsea Piers where Suri goes gymnastics before the accident.
Police have since been unable to confirm details of the incident when contacted by MailOnline.
Meanwhile in other related news, Cruise has allegedly been back in contact with Suri, by chatting to her online.
A source told New York Daily News: "It’s all part of the divorce settlement that Tom be allowed to video chat with Suri. Likewise, when Suri is with Tom, Katie can video chat with her.
“Tom and Katie were advised that this could be a very useful tool to help Suri with the adjustment of her parents getting divorced. Tom and Suri have been video chatting, and Tom just lights up when her face appears on the computer screen."
They added: “Tom and Suri also communicate on the telephone and there is no limit on the contact for either parent. If Suri wants to talk to Tom, she will call him."
The Top Gun actor's lawyer Bert Fields recently stated that Cruise will be reunited with Suri "very soon", adding: "I don’t know exactly when that will be, and I couldn’t tell you, but I do know it will be very soon.
“Tom loves his Suri very, very much, as he does his other two children. Tom is a family man and dedicated to his children. They are the centre of his world.”
