Katy Perry Is Your New Artist Of The Year

Katy Perry is your favourite new artist of 2008 - according to an MTV News poll where she got 44% of the votes!

The singer has had an amazing year with her hit I Kissed A Girl making it to number one in both the UK and US.

Then to cap it all off last month she hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards in Liverpool.

Coming in second in our (fairly unscientific poll) was the UKs own Duffy who was loved by 11% of you. DJ Ironik came third with MGMT just behind him.
