Katy Perry made a surprise appearance during boyfriend John Mayer’s gig last night in New York.

“It is an honour and a pleasure to invite to the stage someone I know we all love,” the blues guitarist announced to the audience. “Please welcome the fantastic Miss Katy Perry!”

The cute couple performed their duet Who You Love on the final night of Mayer’s US Paradise Valley tour, topping off a long day of promotion for the track.

Wearing a long-sleeve black dress covered in a cherry blossom print, Katy was grinning from ear to ear and clapping along during the performance. Afterwards John gave the Unconditionally singer a kiss on the cheek.

Earlier that morning the duo gave their first ever interview as a couple on Good Morning America while premiering their video for the song.

During the interview Katy and John admitted that they were nervous about putting themselves out there with a duet but Katy explained, “It transcends us, it’s more about the message of the song.”
