According toRussell Brand's wife has now managed to match a record set by Jackson back in 1987-88, where the deceased legend hit the top spot five times with singles from his hit LP, Bad.
In the 53-year long history of Billboard's Hot 100, Katy and MJ are the only artists ever to achieve this milestone.
The 26-year old's previous chart toppers include California Gurls, Teenage Dream, Firework, E.T. and now Last Friday Night - all taken from Perry's sophomore album, Teenage Dream.
