Katy Perry has teased details regarding her next album, telling a radio station that her next release will be 'darker' than her sugary-sweet LP, Teenage Dream.
The Wide Awake singer, whose divorce from Russell Brand was officially finalised last week, told Capital FM that she wants her third studio record to reveal her deepest secrets to her fans.
K-Pez explained: "I would love to just let it be the 'black box' of who I am."
Back in March, Perry previously revealed that she hoped to make an album full of edgy tracks, telling Interview magazine: "My music is about to get real f****** dark. I'll be shoe-gazing."
Despite the breakdown of her 14-month marriage to Brand, the 27-year old also recently claimed that her next LP will not dwell on their split, telling The Sun: "I’d never devote a whole record to heartbreak."
She added: "I’m happy, I’m in a good place, I’m looking forward to my future.”
Last week, Brand opened up about his divorce from Katy, telling Howard Stern that he "loved her so much", stating: "It just seemed like the sensible thing to do [when we got married] ... I just loved her so much."
However, once they were husband and wife, Brand admitted that he realised: "This isn't really working out, it's a difficult situation ... I was really, really in love with her, but it was difficult to see each other.
"We were together when it was right to be together, and when it wasn't we worked it out ... It was a lovely relationship ... it mostly didn't work for practical reasons ... We did work it out, she's happy, I'm happy.
