Katy Perry might be swapping the charts for the box office.

Rumours are rife that the Chained To The Rhythm hit maker is getting ready to show off her acting chops.

Katy was spotted out for dinner with top Hollywood film producer Simon Kinberg (known for making the X-Men films)at London’s swanky Chiltern Firehouse.

They were joined by actors James McAvoy and Nicholas Hoult and sources are saying discussions of Katy’s potential film career may have been discussed.

“Producers are desperate to snap up Katy for acting projects but she’s never quite found the right one,” a source blabbed to The Sun.

“It’s interesting that Simon and Katy spent time together in London and begs the question whether he will sign her up for one of his blockbusters,” the source pondered.

Katy has appeared on the big screen in the past – both for voiceover work and in a big screen documentary.

The pop beauty was the voice of Smurfette in The Smurfs and The Smurfs 2 and as herself in Zoolander 2.

She also starred in her 2012 documentary Katy Perry: Part of Me which charted her music career around the release of her album Teenage Dream and marriage breakdown when she was with Russell Brand.
