Katy Perry and Russell Brand have began their life as a married couple by jetting off to the Maldives for their honeymoon.
The newlyweds left Jaipur Airport, India, in a private jet on Perry's 26th birthday after they tied the knot at the Arman-I-Khas, near Ranthambore National Park on Saturday.

The Teenage Dream singer and her new hubby are then expected to fly onto Mauritius after spending some time 'relaxing' in the Maldives.
Brand has previously joked that he plans to 'take Katy through the Karma Sutra' on their honeymoon, with a friend of the pair claiming they are 'looking forward' to spending some quality time together as man and wife.
According to the Evening Echo, the pal revealed: "Where they’re going is out of the way and they can just relax on the beach, enjoy each other’s company and get massages with no other distractions.”
A spokeswoman for Russell also added: "They have gone off on their own. This is a special time for them now."

Before jetting off on their honeymoon, the pair posted identical messages on Twitter yesterday, writing: "WE DID", accompanied with a picture on their names in pink and blue writing.
Meanwhile, a complaint has apparently been filed against the superstar couple for violating terms of the Wildlife Protection Act during their wedding, after claims that sound pollution was caused from firecrackers and loud music at the ceremony.
