Katy Perry has disclosed more details concerning her split from funnyman Russell Brand - revealing he dumped her by text.
The couple - who were married for just 14-months - parted ways in December 2011, with K-Pez now telling US Vogue that Russ called off their marriage in a message.
Perry said: "He’s a very smart man, a magical man and I was in love with him when I married him.
“Let's just say I haven't heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31, 2011."
Katy - who has [uuid=f2f01811-59c3-4d07-936e-da700bd874c7]recently been linked[/uuid] to Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson - went on to accept that her hectic touring schedule was part to blame for the split, but she did hint that there could be more to their break-up than meets the eye.
The Teenage Dream hitmaker explained: “I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending, but then I found out the real truth, which I can't necessarily disclose because I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day.
“I let go and I was like, 'This isn't because of me; this is beyond me.' So I have moved on from that."
