Katy Perryhas become the most followed female on Lady Gaga.
The Justin Bieber, who recently became the first person to reach over 40million followers.
The teen heartthrob currently has 42.3million followers to date.
Gaga's absence from the social-networking site could be to blame for her fall from the top, after she temporally shut down her page earlier this month.
The star is expected to kick-start her account again once the campaign for her new album ARTPOP begins.
