Katy Perry has teased new music with two sneak peeks at her time in the studio. You can even heara teeny little bit of new music…
In the first of two clips, we can hear squelchy synths and Katy singing “don’t be scared to d-“. How do you think that lyric ends? With “die”? With “drown”? With “download my new album when it's out please I need the monies”? We’ll find out soon enough.
Katy had also coloured her tooth in with a sharpie, but it wouldn’t come off. Uh oh. The second clip shows someone jamming on a bass guitar and you can watch it all below:
Back in November, Katy took to Instagram to share her sadness at the US presidential election result, before hinting at new music, saying,“Hillary helped me see that we're all in this together, no matter where we come from, what colour we are, or what status and education we have or don't have.”
“Hillary lit a fire inside of me that burns brighter and brighter every day, and that fire will NEVER be put out,” Katy continued. “Feelings of despair still comes in waves, but now more than ever I am MOTIVATED to fight against social injustice and to promote equality and kindness as best I know how, through my art and influence.
Katy concluded her post by saying: “It's funny, sometimes people who disagree with me just say, "Shut up and sing." Boy, will I do so in a whole new way... next year. Hell hath no fury like a woman REBORN.”
