Katy Perry To Host EMAs

Katy Perry will host this years MTV Europe Music Awards in Liverpool next month.

The singer scored a number one across Europe and in the US with her hit I Kissed A Girl.

Now shell cap off a fantastic year by hosting our whole ceremony- joining performers including Duffy, The Killers and Beyonce.

Perry was very excited when we told her the news and revealed: I was so excited when I heard that I was nominated for two awards, but when I was asked to host the show I wet myself, Fergie-style!

To follow in the footsteps of previous hosts Christina Aguilera, Tom Jones, P. Diddy and Snoop Dogg at this prestigious event is an incredible honour -- do they know what they are getting into?

I just hope that I don't spill my cocktail! The Europe Music Awards take place in Liverpool on November 6 with Britney, Duffy and Coldplay leading nominations.
