Katy Perry has revealed she plans to take a extended break from her career next month, stating she "needs her heart to heal."
In an interview with Russell Brand, hinting that her hectic work commitments prevented her from spending time with the comedian.
According to The Mirror, Katy told Lopez: "For a modern woman, it is important to be supported and that there is equality in every aspect.”
The 27-year old also added she was ­“absolutely not” afraid of falling in love again.

Perry explained: "Everybody asks me if I regret something, they ask me if it's going to be that one moment [her marriage].

"Actually it's really a lesson learned and it's super valuable, I could not buy this lesson. And I apply it to my life, I learn and a lot of the time, I get really good material for my songs."

Perry went on to explain why she decided to divulge details [uuid=9b384714-5445-4526-b537-fd2a77a3e439]concerning her marriage woes[/uuid] in her new flick, adding: "The whole movie is about overcoming obstacles, overcoming my family, my set of rules and belief systems."

The Teenage Dream hitmaker [uuid=700fdd61-8da1-4a9c-b406-39def56ce143]recently opened up about her divorce from Russell[/uuid] during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, where Perry described the problems in her personal life as "overwhelming."
