Katy Perry's Next Album 'Won't Dwell On Heartbreak'
Following her divorce from Russell, K-Pez says she's in a good place...
The Wide Awake singer, who dazzled on the pink carpet at the UK premiere of her concert flick Part Of Me: 3D this week, told The Sun: "I’d never devote a whole record to heartbreak. I’m happy, I’m in a good place, I’m looking forward to my future.”
K-Pez also went on to discuss a particular scene in her movie, where she is seen crying underneath a blanket - moments before going on stage to perform in Brazil.
Her manager is seen asking Perry if she's depressed in the clip, to which she replies with a simple nod of her head.
Speaking of the emotional moment, the 27-year old told the tabloid: “That’s towards the end of the tour and I am obviously exhausted and things aren’t going well for me personally. I am trying to keep that to myself and it started cracking through.
“It is a bit of a symbolic moment, rising above that pain on that lift, and sometimes I had to turn it on. I turned on my spinning outfits and my spinning peppermints.
“Whoever said the show must go on had obviously been there too. But it wasn’t like I was always in my make-up chair, convulsing and crying and showing my cracks.”
When asked why she decided to document the breakdown of her marriage in the film, Katy explained: "For me it was important with this movie not to ignore that elephant in the room.
“I am not hiding anything, but I had to put it in with integrity and consideration because that’s how I make all my choices, because I believe in karma.”
In other related news, the I Kissed A Girl hitmaker has joked that a possible Part Of Me sequel could be in the pipeline, which will be "very Andy Warhol" and see her "burning down [her] kitchen."
She told Digital Spy: "Yes, the second film is going to be about me sleeping! It's very Andy Warhol. Eating, brushing my hair, attempting to cook, burning down my kitchen - things like that!"
Katy Perry's Part Of Me: 3D is released in UK cinemas today (5th July).
