Katy Perry's father Keith Hudson is reported to have launched into a rant about Jews as he gave a sermon at his church in Ohio.
The evangelist and his wife Mary were giving their first service since Katy's split from husband Russell Brand [uuid=1234b5c7-3d85-42ac-bd94-8e6a61419ad7]was made public[/uuid] when he came out with the controversial comments.
The 63-year-old is reported by The Sun to have said: "You know how to make the Jew jealous? Have some money, honey.
"You go to LA and they own all the Rolex and diamond places. Walk down a part of LA where we live and it is so rich it smells. You ever smell rich? They are all Jews, hallelujah. Amen."
The paper also claims that Mr Hudson talked about his daughter at the Church on the Rise in Westlake, Ohio.
He said: "People say 'How is it you have a daughter raised in the church and she sang 'I kissed a girl and liked it'? I say 'I don't know'.
"We live by the Gospel, not off anyone else, even though you may say 'You are the parents of Katy Perry, you must be rich.' No, she is, I am not, hallelujah."

Earlier this week it was reported that Russell's [uuid=ab52c958-c79c-49ff-a81f-14b9f870a66a]mockery of Katy's mum and dad[/uuid] might have been a reason for their split.
