SINGLES

Anne-Marie - ‘Ciao Adios’

When you’re a young pop star, called 'Anne-Marie',and you drop a certified pop gem, called ‘Alarm’, how do you build on that success? How do you keep the momentum going? How do you not flop and end up spending a lifetime in an office, like the person writing the words you’re reading on this webpage?

MTV-favourite Anne-Marie came up with a master plan: “I’m just not going to put out a sh*t song”.It’s full proof!

But you know what? Anne-Marie wasn’t lying. The follow-up to ‘Alarm’ and that all-conquering Clean Bandit collaboration, ‘Ciao Adios’, is a pulsating, beach-y hit-in-the-waiting. Click the play button below.

Katy Perry - ‘Chained To The Rhythm’

Katy Perry is back. ‘Chained To The Rhythm’, which features Bob Marley’s grandson, Skip Marley, is a retro disco track with tinges of reggae. It’s warm. It’s fun. It’s catchy.

"Turn it up, it's your favourite song/Dance, dance, dance to the distortion/Come on, turn it up, keep it on repeat/Stumbling around like a wasted zombie/Yeah, we think we're free/ Drink, this one is on me," Katy sings in the chorus.

Katy Perry’s fourth studio album is set to hit later this year, but we’re still waiting on a title and a release date. As soon as news hits, MTV will bring it to you. Stay tuned...

Dirty Projectors – ‘Cool Your Heart’

Dirty Projectors can’t stop surprising. Back in September, David Longstreth (the sole constant Projector) released ‘Keep Your Name’, a glitch-y, nuclear bomb of a break-up track where Longstreth almost raps. It’s bizarre and brilliant.

‘Little Bubble’, a slow, gorgeous, lamenting track with gentle strings that wash over you, followed.

But then ‘Cool Your Heart’, co-written with Solange – yes, that Solange – has forced us to rip-up any preconceptions we had about that forthcoming album (dropping February 24). This latest track is bouncy, light and the song explores far less introspective feelings than the previous singles. But, don’t worry, ‘Cool Your Heart’ is still as experimental andweird (in the best way possible). Which is exactly what we want from a Dirty Projectors song.

Avelino feat. Stormzy & Skepta – ‘Energy’

“Don’t show up to my show if you’ve got no energy.”

Breaking through with the release of his debut EP and a support slot on Stormzy’s first ever UK tour, Tottenham MC Avelino has linked back up with Big Mike, and Mercury Prize-winner Skepta on this thudding, explosive new track. ‘Energy’ represents the first time both grime heavyweights have had verses on the same track, and it doesn’t disappoint.

Axwell /\ Ingrosso feat. Kid Ink – ‘I Love You’

Uplifting strings soar on this dance floor-bound new track from Axwell /\ Ingrosso, their collaboration with Kid Ink. ‘I love you, even though I don’t like you right now,’ sings the chorus. Getting ready for the weekend? Put this on.

ALBUMS

Devlin – 'The Devil In'

East London’s Devlin (who rose to fame after a certain Mr Kanye West shared a video of him rapping on his blog years back) releases his third full length, 'The Devil In', featuring collaborations with Skepta (he’s everywhere this week, that Skepta) and Maverick Sabre.

Rag ’N’ Bone Man - 'Human'

This month’s MTV PUSH artist, Rory Graham (better known as Rag’n’Bone Man) brings his powerful, hollering vocals to his soulful debut album. ‘Human’, which streaked into the Number Two slot on the Official Charts and every BBC Sport montage out there, is, obviously, in there, as well ‘Skin’, which was inspired by Game of Thrones.

No, really, it was. Rory told us so.

Una Healy - 'The Waiting Game'

Unafrom The Saturdays is here with herdebut solo album.

Various Artists - 'Fifty Shades Darker Soundtrack'

2017’s bonk-fest, Fifty Shades Darker, has released its soundtrack. Joining Zayn Malik and Taylor Swift are Halsey, John Legend, Tove Lo, Rita Ora and more.
