Keanehave denied reports suggesting[uuid=27df8c05-f3d4-4aff-b343-1acf61c67ffb] they've decided to split[/uuid] after 16 years together.

Over the weekend, a source told The Sun on Sunday that Tom Chaplin and Co had "decided it's time to quit at the top and spend time with their wives and families."

They added that Chaplin was already eyeing up a solo career, and "has put a plan together" to release a new album in the very near future.

However, Tom has since explained that the group are simply taking "a bit of time out from being Keane".

He told Dixie at Real Radio Yorkshire: "This is something that has been twisted by one particular article in one particular newspaper over the weekend.

"All we've said is that we've been very busy for a few years and we'd like to take a bit of time out from being Keane, and somehow that has morphed into 'Keane are splitting up'."
