Ke$ha Has Malaysian Concert Banned
Star's show blocked due to religious and cultural sensibilities...
A concert by Ke$ha has been banned by the authorities in Malaysia.
The Tik Tok star was due to perform in Kuala Lumpur last night, but the plug was pulled due to cultural and religious sensitivities.
The AP reports that promoters Livescape received a letter from the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia, informing them that her application to perform had been rejected.
Ke$ha's team had apparently offered to modify her wardrobe and song lyrics to appease the authorities, but to no avail.
US metal band Lamb Of God previously had their show in Malaysia blocked due to fears of blasphemy.
Islam is the state religion of Malaysia, with minorities practicing Buddhism, Christianity and other faiths.
