Ke$ha's Mum Clears Up Alcoholism Reports
As producer Dr. Luke denies her claims he pressured the star to get in shape...
Ke$ha's mother has spoken out in defence of the singer in wake of the news that she's seeking treatment for an eating disorder in rehab.
Earlier this month, it emerged that the Timber singer would be out of action for the next 30 days as she "learns to love" herself again.
It was later claimed that Ke$ha was actually admitted to a facility in Chicago for alcohol addiction - something her mum, Pebe Sebert, strongly denies.
Speaking to Celebuzz, she stated: "That's a total lie. The place she's at is an eating disorder centre.
"When they say 'people close to her', I will tell you, I travel with her everywhere, her little brother, her assistant, makeup artist, talk to anyone."
Sebert continued: "She might be crazy and she might get s**tfaced drunk, but everyone does. She might have a few drinks here and there. But she doesn't have a drinking problem."
Explaining the star's condition further, Ke$ha's mum went on: "She was dieting and she became bulimic. I remember over a period of a few months she got really skinny and she said she was running Runyon Canyon [in LA] and just eating well."
Meanwhile, the Tik Tok hitmaker's producer Dr. Luke has rubbished Sebert's claims that he pressured her daughter to lose weight.
During an interview with People, she was quoted as saying: "Dr. Luke had been telling her how she had to get in shape and lose weight and all this stuff.
"She was exercising and dieting and ultimately doing everything she could, but not getting thin fast enough, And that's when she first became bulimic."
Dr. Luke has since denied the accusations, saying: "These statements and allegations concerning Dr. Luke are completely false.
"It is unfortunate that at a time Ke$ha is suffering immensely and trying to heal at a treatment center, her mother is taking this approach with the media. I give Ke$ha my utmost support and well wishes for a quick return to health."
