Kelela Shares The Sensual 'Blue Light' Video
The 'LMK' singer gets intimate in her latest masterpiece...
Kelela just dropped her second spectacular visual of the year.
The magnetic singer celebrates her hair and sexuality in the intimate 'Blue Light' video, contrasting the club setting of her last video for 'LMK'.
In place of wigs, voguing and crowds, this time we see Kelela's one-woman journey to utopia - although there's still a lot of hair on display.
"Watch me have sex wit my hair" is what the singer tweeted to unveil the gorgeous video and that really is what you see.
Starting with a close-up of Kelela, we see more of her physicality as she frees mentally and her hair grows. It's bold, symbolic and beautiful.
'Blue Light' is the second single to be taken from her debut album Take Me Apart and precedes this weekend's U.S. premiere of its accompanying film ALL IT TOOK, a version of which is currently on display at an art centre in Liverpool.
The film, directed by Wu Tsang, follows Kelela through the album-making process and is part of the 'Under Cinema' exhibition until February 18th 2018 at Liverpool's Foundation for Art and Creative Technology.
It's clear from simply looking at Kelela to know that she is as much a visual artist as she is musically, so we will definitely be checking it out.
For now, get closer...
