Nas and his R&B wife Kelis may launch a $100 million (50 million) lawsuit against the city of Miami relating to an altercation last year with undercover police officers, it's reported.

In March last year, Kelis Rogers-Jones - better known to us as the Milkshake lady - was arrested in the city for allegedly screaming racial obscenities at two undercover police officers.

It was reported that husband Nas was talking to the officers at the time. Kelis was subsequently charged with two misdemeanour counts of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Reports now suggest that the couple are set to sue city officials as they feel they were unfairly targeted by police and were victims of racial profiling.

A source is quoted as saying "Kelis has been silent about everything thus far. She's waiting for the right time and then she'll explain exactly what happened."
