Kelly Brook Scores Starring Role In NBC Pilot 'One Big Happy'
The newly-engaged star is on a 'role'...
Is Kelly Brook having the best week ever or what? After confirming her engagement on Monday it's been announced the star has scored a starring role in upcoming comedy One Big Happy.
Deadline reports that US network NBC has commissioned a pilot for the show, which also features 24’s Elisha Cuthbert.
The plot revolves around two childhood friends – lesbian Lizzy, played by Elisha, and straight male BFF Luke (Nick Zano) – who are living together and trying for a baby via artificial insemination.
Just as Lizzy finally falls pregnant, Luke has a whirlwind romance with a young, British woman, Prudence (played by Kelly) and marries her to prevent her from being deported. Kelly’s character is described as a “sexy Mary Poppins”.
The news comes following Kelly's confirmation earlier this week that she was engaged to boyfriend David McIntosh, also known as the former Gladiator 'Tornado', after her own whirlwind romance with the star.
Brook has previously starred in Skins, Smallville and Piranha 3D.
The gig also coincides nicely with the release of her new fragrance, called Audition.
Clearly she rocked her audition for One Big Happy!
