Kelly Osbourne has praised Angelina Jolie's decision to have her ovaries removed - revealing she also carries the 'cancer gene' like the actress.

Yesterday (March 24), it emerged that Ange had the preventive surgery last week, two years after having a double mastectomy.

[related]Speaking on 'The Talk', Ozzy Osbourne's daughter revealed that she is also planning to have the same procedure as Jolie after mum Sharon Osbourne made her get tested after having cancer herself.

Kelly explained: "I actually do have the cancer gene. My mom made all of us get tested after she found out that she had it and got her double mastectomy.

"I agree with this 100 percent. I know that one day I will eventually have to do it too because if I have children, I want to be there to bring them up. I want to be there to support them in every way I can."

She continued: "It's something I applaud Angelina for because she's bringing attention to this, and people are now going to go out and get tested for it."

Like Jolie, Sharon found out she was a carrier of the BRCA1 gene and decided to have a double mastectomy after suffering colon cancer in 2002.
