Kem Cetinay Credits Liam Payne With Helping Him Through Amber Davies Split
The pair have been in close contact since Radio 1's Teen Awards.
The Dancing On Ice star revealed that he and the former One Direction member exchanged numbers at Radio 1’s Teen Awards in October and have remained in close contact ever since.
Let's get checking out an update from MTV News...
In an interview with Heat Magazine, Kem revealed that Liam now regularly checks in on how he's adapting to single life: “After I split from Amber, he was one of the first people to text and call me and give me loads of advice."
"He texts me all the time and said if you need a chat or want to go out, I’ll be here for you.
As for how he’s coping with the end of his and Amber’s four-month relationship, Kem admitted that he does still have feelings for his ex: “I am still in love with Amber as we have just split.
”It ended very amicably so out of respect for her, I don't want to be going out partying and getting with girls.
Hinting that he's open to the idea of a reunion, Kem said: "I don't know what's going to happen in the future, but we're having some space right now."
This comes after an insider revealed that Amber was the one to initiate their split: "Everything moved too fast and it became too much for Amber," a source said.
"She's only young and she got a bit freaked out that her whole life seemed like it was being planned for her. She really loves Kem, but it's for the best they've split."
At least Kem has a firm friend in Liam Payne to distract him from heartbreak. Potentially the most unpredictable celeb friendship of 2018? Pretty much.
