And despite their riches and dream lifestyles, even celebs are not immune from such embarrassment - just ask Kendall Jenner (allegedly).

The Sun newspaper reports that Keeping Up With The Kardashians matriarch Kris Jenner has been trying to set her 19-year-old supermodel daughter up with a series of super-famous men - and that Zayn Malik is the latest in her sights.

And this is apparently why the newly single 22-year-old was invited to Kylie Jenner's 18th last week - despite not really knowing anyone there.

A source told the tabloid: "Kendall is actually quite shy and was mortified at her mum being so obvious but eventually she relaxed and was talking to Zayn just the two of them.

"Khloe and some friends joined them and clearly Zayn was feeling more confident so he put his arm around her.

"She looked very surprised at first but she relaxed and put both her arms around his waist."

It is claimed that they swapped numbers and that "momager" Kris has been encouraging Kendall to drop him a line from their family holiday - and that she has also been the instigator in Kendall's previous dates with Harry Styles and Lewis Hamilton.
