WTF?! Kendall Jenner Trashes $10k Dress And Becomes A Human Paintbrush All In The Name Of Performance Art
Kendall Jenner isn’t particularlyknown for her sense of humour, but the supermodel certainly made us LOL with this tongue-in-cheek send up of performance art.
Appearing in a video with BFF Gigi Hadid for the 10th anniversary of W magazine, Kendall recreated iconic pieces by the likes of Yoko Ono, Ulay and Marina Abramovic, and Yves Klein.
This involved inviting others to cut up the $10,000 dress, throwing paint all over herself to become a human paintbrush and walking through many sheets of paper. Yes, really.
Kendall explained: “I mean, being a supermodel’s great. You’re flying on private jets, Karl [Lagerfeld]’s my friend, but I think my soul is being an artist.
“I mean, when you’re a model, you’re a mannequin for other people. I want to be a director of my own vision now.
“So I’ve researched a tonne of performance art pieces and I really want to give an homage to them.”
In a scene with bestie Gigi, Kendall jokes that she is worried about whether she is showing any signs of premature aging. You know you look flawless, Kenny!
“Wait, do I have wrinkles when I do this?” she asks Gigi, before her pal replies, “It’s like, you’re 20 now, you know?”
Someone give these supermodels their own sketch show, stat.
