Kesha Releases New 'Rainbow' Song 'Hymn' For "People Who Feel Like Outcasts"

The 'We R Who We R' singer dedicates the gorgeous mid-tempo to her fans and anyone who feels alone...

She promised us new music - and we’ve got it!

Kesha has released a brand new song from 'Rainbow' ahead of its release next week and it’s one of the most buzzed-about tracks so far, ‘Hymn’.

Fans have been anticipating the song since Metro first revealed its title and the lyric ‘Hymn for the hymnless’ in an early review of the album last month.

The dreamy song is more laid-back in its production than the three songs released so far, although its inspirational message is no less powerful as she encourages ‘outcasts’ to be themselves unapologetically and live to the beat of their own drum.

“This is a hymn for the hymn less, kids with no religion / Yeah, we keep on sinning, yeah, we keep on singing,” she declares on the chorus. What a stunning lyric.

The minimal production is reminiscent of the mid-tempos on Kesha’s previous albums, and she sounds just great on it. Frankly, it’s a gorgeous song.

In an open letter published by Mic, the ‘Praying’ singer explains that “Religion, for me, in this song doesn’t mean necessarily religion as in your spiritual belief, but more like kids with no set way of life.”

This might just be our favourite 'Rainbow' song so far - 4/4 solid pop songs, well done Kesha.
