Khloe Kardashian Reveals Lamar Odom Is 'Breathing Without Machines' And Learning To Walk Again

It's been almost a month since Lamar's overdose.

Khloe Kardashian has updated concerned fans about her estranged husband Lamar Odom's condition, revealing he's making significant progress in his recovery.

During the promo tour of hew new book, 'Strong Looks Better Naked', Khloe told Extra at a signing event that Lamar is 'off all machines'.

"He’s definitely doing better which is awesome, every day is better," she said.

"He’s off of all machines. He is alive on his own, and no machines are helping him, which is great. But he still has a lot of physical and cognitive therapy to go through, so it’s a long road for him."

The former NBA player was found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel on October 13 following a drug overdose.

He was then in a coma for four days, also undergoing two emergency surgeries.

"It’s gonna be a long long time, every day is different," the KUWTK star continued.

"Some days he’s really strong and some days he’s weaker than the day before because it’s mentally draining — I’m sure — on him."

"He will try to learn how to walk so that is first," she said. "When he can support himself on his own, or physically try to walk better on his own, or at least with an assistance, with like a walker, then he will probably leave the hospital and do a lot of cognitive and mental strengthening."

Having rushed to his side when the news first emerged, media outlets were quick to assume that the two were back tougher after calling off their divorce.

"I understand why it’s confusing to other people because it’s confusing to me, too, but I understand why the media wanted to make it this great love story like that would be wonderful but there are so many more layers that people are forgetting,” she explained.
