Khloe Kardashian's Advice About Cleansing Your Vagina Is Totally Wrong
For anyone who takes Khloe Kardashian's word as gospel, it might be a shock to the system to hear that her grooming tips have been slammed by anyone with a basic knowledge about personal hygiene.
Just recently, she'd listed off a range of potions and pelvic exercises that are supposed to keep your downstairs region "happy", with some of the recommendations - like those fancy glass balls, being endorsed by a bunch of established gyno's.But the problem with Khloe's guide is that it also encourages women to slather on creams and wipes and lotions on an area that is, infact, already self-cleansing. Unlucky.
Revealing that all those extra oils will disrupt the balance of bacteria, Dr Jen Gunter told MailOnline: "What makes the vulva 'age' faster is either over cleansing, removing pubic hair, or a skin condition."
She added: "When you wash you strip away natural oils. These act like humectants (i.e. keep moisture in), so removing them makes you feel dry."It turns out the best thing you can do to keep your vagina "happy" is to avoid soap down there altogther, and stay as far away from 'feminine wipes' as you possibly can.
Better luck next time, Khlo.
