Kick-Ass 3 'Only Happening If Second Movie Is A Hit'

Kick-Ass movie will depend on how well Kick-Ass 2 does this summer.

The comic book guru surprised many fans, who had assumed a third film based on his cult graphic novels was a given.

He wrote on Twitter: "A third and final Kick-Ass movie obviously dependent on how many billions the second one makes.

"We'll know Monday after release."

Millar, who received an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours at the weekend, has several more of his properties in development as movies at the moment.

Secret Service, Nemesis and Supercrooks are all in the pipeline.

Kick-Ass 2 (subtitled Balls To The Wall) is released on 16 August.
