Kid Sister Is Doing It For The Ladies
Electro rapper Kid Sisterwas recently interviewed by our urban blog The Wrap Up and claimed that she has to go a lot harder than the men in the music industry to be taken seriously.
She said: “For the most part it’s been cool and I think it’s harder for women to do a lot of things, not one specific trade or profession. I think it’s difficult across the board; we have to make up for it by doing things better, faster and stronger. We have to do better than the boys!”
The Kanye Westcollaborator also spoke on her appreciation of UK dubstep music and her relationship with one of that scene's biggest names, Rusko.
“He’s [Rusko] just like one of our friends, you know what I mean? Every producer on the album are friends of ours except from Brian Kennedy who is now my friend. We didn’t know each other before the album. Everybody that worked on it was all buddies.
“It’s crazy, because Rusko had a show at Webster Hall and it was nuts. It was pure madness. I think there were like 1500 people there, it’s [dubstep] definitely getting big over there.”
