At this point, you’ve probably realised that Kim Kardashian headed to the White House to discuss prison reform with President Donald Trump and broke the internet for the thousandth time in her career so far.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is seeking a pardon for a low-level drug offender called Alice Marie Johnson, who has currently served over 20 years in prison.

After their meeting concluded, Kim wrote: "I would like to thank President Trump for his time this afternoon. It is our hope that the President will grant clemency to Ms. Alice Marie Johnson who is serving a life sentence for a first-time, non-violent drug offense.

“We are optimistic about Ms. Johnson's future and hopeful that she -- and so many like her -- will get a second chance at life."

Naturally the internet was pretty bamboozled at the images of Kim and POTUS hanging out in the Oval Office together, with one person writing: “Kim Kardashian meets Trump to discuss prison reform’ is one of those headlines that reminds you we are living in truly dystopian times.”

Another pointed out that we should be encouraged by the fact that the 38-year-old is using her platform for good, arguing: “I don't really get how Kim Kardashian visiting Trump about prison reform is any different to Bono/Geldof/whoever meeting politicians about their policy interest.”

As for Trump himself, he took to social-media following the meeting to write: “Great meeting with @KimKardashian today, talked about prison reform and sentencing.”
