Kim Kardashian Apologises For Controversial 'Anorexic' Comments From Instagram Video

A conversation she had with Kendall Jenner and Khloe Kardashian about her weight caused controversy.

Kim Kardashian has apologised for controversial comments she made about her weight after people accused her of glorifying anorexia.

The comments in question were made earlier this year in a chat with her sisters, Khloe Kardashian and Kendall Jenner. Oh, and they were sure to film the exchange for Instastories, effectively making it a conversation with the whole world.

In the clip from July, Kendall can be heard expressing concern over Kim's plummeting weight: "No, I'm really concerned, I don't think you're eating. Like, you look so skinny," she said.

But Kim's reaction was not to tell her that she's losing weight in a healthy way, instead, she responded: "Whaaaaat?! Oh my god, thank you!" Later Kim insisted she wasn't "that skinny" and was only "down to 119 pounds," which prompted Khloe Kardashian to describe her waist as "anorexic" and her arms as "pin thin."

And now Kim has apologised for her positive reaction to the comments on Ashley Graham's podcast, Pretty Big Deal.

"Looking back, having said that, I 100% completely understand where people are coming from that felt that way," she told Ashley on Tuesday.

"So my intention is never to offend anyone and I really, you know, apologise if I offended anyone," she added.

She continued: "An eating disorder is – I know people that have serious eating disorders that have been in and out of the hospital for 15 years, close people, so I’ve like, been through, I have experienced it enough to have, like, known better."

The reality star added that the comments were "insensitive," and that she and her sisters just got "carried away" in the moment.

Kim is right that she should have known better, but we appreciate the fact that she's finally held her hands up.

And unless she decides she wants to apologise for the whole appetite-suppressinglollipop thing too, we're hoping this is the last we hear about controversies surrounding Kim and weightloss.
