Kim Kardashian Cried When Kanye West Wrote About Her Reaction To Slavery Comments

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star insisted her husband has the "best intentions."

Kim Kardashian has revealed that she burst into tears when she first heard that Kanye West had written about her response to his controversial slavery comments.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star might have stood by her husband in public but has now admitted that her private response to his remarks was a completely different story.

'Let's get checking out a bunch of celebrities who got real af about coping with a mental illness...'

The track titled ‘Wouldn’t Leave’ on new album Ye delves into what the 37-year-old was really thinking when the father of her three children claimed that slavery was “a choice.”

The lyrics in question read: “Now I’m on fifty blogs gettin’ fifty calls / Wife calling screaming saying we’re about to lose it all.I had to calm her down cause she couldn’t breathe / I told her she could leave me now but she wouldn’t leave, This is what they mean for better or for worse, huh?”

In an interview with Extra at the 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards, Kim – who was honoured with the Influencer Award at the event – revealed that she did actually cry when she heard his interpretation of their phone call.

“I cried because it is a lot of what we went through," she said. "I know my husband has the best intentions. He has the biggest heart.I know his heart, so I know he’ll always have that chance to explain himself when the time is right.

Pointing out that she's happy with the way the song turned out, Kim added: “This time I wasn’t so calm… I know what he meant so ultimately, after a week, I was calm… I think he explained it well in the song.”
