Kim Kardashian: 'Divorce Was A Bad Business Decision'
Kim Kardashian has addressed her divorce from hubby Kris Humphries live on US TV, slamming reports suggesting she tied the knot to make money.
The socialite, who infamously filed for divorce from Humphries after just 72 days of marriage, made the revelation when guest hosting ABC's Live With Kelly.
During an interview with Kelly Ripa, Kimmy was quizzed about the speculation that she married Kris to make cash, to which the 31-year replied: "Being a hopeless romantic, I wanted to believe in something so badly.
"If you really think about it, if this was a business decision and I really made all that money that everyone was claiming that we made off this wedding, and if the wedding was fake and just for TV - I'm a smart business woman - I would have stayed married longer."
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star added: "This was a bad business decision. If you really think about it, it doesn’t make sense.”
Kim went on to tell Ripa that she was surprised by the negative response her split from Kris received, stating: "I definitely tried everything I could [to save it], but also heard stories of people who had kids and stayed married for years and it didn't end up working out.
"I want babies and that forever love and if I felt in my heart that this wasn't right, why wait years for the same result?"
Earlier this month, Kardashian was accused of planning her own marriage proposal, with Humphries pals telling Radar Online: "Kim told Kris how, where and when to propose, it was absolutely no surprise to her whatsoever."
