Kim Kardashian Had To Explain Her Job To The President Of Uganda

This couple love a controversial president, don’t they?

Apparently there is still one person left in the universe who hasn't heard of Kim Kardashian as she was asked all about her job during a meeting withUgandan PresidentYoweri Museveni this week.

Evidently Uganda’s leader isn’t an avid fan of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, who met with him alongside husband Kanye West this week.

"They met with the president of Uganda, and [when] the president asked Kim why she had to leave early, she replied that she had to go back to work," a source tellsPeople.

The insidersays that Kim was nice about the whole situation though, adding: "The President then asked what was her job, and Kim, very politely, said that she had a TV show with sisters and family and they were all waiting for her return."

But it looks like President Museveni still isn’t completely aware of what Kim and Kanye do for a living, as in his latest tweets he referred to the pair as “American entertainment stars.” Which tbf, is somewhat accurate.

“I welcome American entertainment stars Kanye West and @KimKardashian to Uganda. I held fruitful discussions with the duo on how to promote Uganda's tourism and the arts,” his tweet reads.

He went on to thank Kanye for “the gift of white sneakers”, meaning PresidentMusevenihas got his hands on a pair of Yeezys.

ICYMI,Kim and Kanye have received some slack for their meeting with the Ugandan President, who has been in power for over 30 years and who abolished the two-term presidential limit in 2005 in order to run (and win) to retain power.

In 2013,a law was passed in Uganda which criminalises homosexualityand anyone caught openly engaging in same sex relationscan face up to a lifetime in prison. You can also be jailed for not reporting gay people to the authorities.
