Kim Kardashian's divorce lawyer has stated that the reality TV star is "handcuffed" to her former hubby, Kris Humphries.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star first filed to end their 72 day marriage in October 2011, but Humphries later asked for an annulment after suggesting that their wedding was fake - resulting in a prolonged legal battle.
According to E! News, their lawyers have now met in a Los Angeles court for another hearing, where Kimmy's attorney Laura Wasser requested that Judge Stephen Moloney put an end to their union.
She stated: "Miss Kardashian is now handcuffed to Mr Humphries", while Kris' lawyer Marshall Waller insisted that Kim - who is now dating Kanye West - should agree to the annulment, expressing plans to depose the socialite next month.
Waller went on to urge Moloney not to set a cutoff date for the case, explaining that he has had difficulty obtaining certain documents and saying: "This is a fraud case. This is a matter that needs to be flushed out."
Wasser then accused Waller of going on a "fishing expedition" and said: "Miss Kardashian has a right to have her 72-day marriage - [for] which she has a prenup - resolved. She has that right."
She also asked Moloney to set a cutoff deadline so that the 32-year old "can stop worrying about getting deposed" and questioned Waller on whether he plans to dispute the prenup.
A new hearing how now been set for 15th February 2013, where both Kim and Humphries will be asked whether they are ready to face a trial.
