Kim Kardashian hasn't had an easy time of late, first with the Paris robbery and then this week with Kanye West being admitted to hospital after displays of 'erratic behaviour'.

In fact the KUWTK star was actually 'terrified' when she heard the news that her husband was 'handcuffed to a gurney', so of course jumped straight on a plane to be with him.

"Kim was terrified," a source told ET. "She was so scared when she heard the news and rushed to his side. There was no question about her staying in NYC. She had to be with him last night."

As for the cause of Kanye's breakdown, well, it's rumoured to be a number of things at this point.

"It was a combination of a lot of issues: stress, anxiety, paranoia. He just broke," a source continued.

They added: "There have been signs recently of him just overwhelmed. He has a lot going on: multiple fashion lines, the tour, his business, being a father.

"And then the Paris incident also threw him for a big loop. His mother passed away this time of year. So, there is a lot going on right now. Kanye hasn't been himself for a while."

Fingers crossed everything's a-ok in the Kardashian West camp.
