Kim Kardashian & Kendall Jenner Speak Out About Their Latest Struggles With Anxiety & Sleep Paralysis
The girls seek help for their mental health issues in the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Anxiety can happen to anyone. Yep, even if you're world famous reality TV stars or supermodels.
Kim's anxiety begins to take hold whilst she's driving as she worries about car accidents, and she explained that sometimes it's so bad, she feels like a totally different person.
Kim revealed to mum Kris: “I think about it all the time, it drives me crazy. I just want to get past my anxiety and live life… I've never had anxiety and I want to take back my life.”
Kendall also discussed her experience with sleep paralysis, which is when you wake up in the middle of the night unable to move or speak.
Whilst on a shoot, the 21-year-old admitted: "It is so scary when it happens, you literally feel like you are never going to get out of it".
Adding: "Everyone says I'm fine, but I don't feel fine".
She also revealed that her sleep paralysis had been brought on by anxiety and panic attacks because of having to fly around the world alone:
"It is so weird as I get like super light headed when I am on planes and I feel like I am going to faint. I don't know what to do as I am freaking out about even flying home.
"I can't travel that much, I am scared, freaking out, I am scared to fall asleep because this keeps happening to me. It is like my heart stops", she added.
Both sisters sought help during the episode, with Kim using therapy to teach her various effective coping mechanisms whilst Kendall found that meditation helped her to manage her anxiety better.
"Because there’s no cure for anxiety you have to get control of your feelings. You have to get a hold of it”, Kim revealed.
Wise words, Kim. It's always great to speak out and seek help!
