Kim Kardashian may have been keeping a low-profile since giving [uuid=fa5847bd-5040-474c-a517-7b82fb960679]Kanye Westwelcomed their daughter on Saturday (June 15), with the tot being born five weeks premature.

Kimmy's friends and family [uuid=8387ca29-aee4-4031-80c9-bccf28e6e8cf]have since commented on the birth[/uuid], with Kardashian instead remaining tight-lipped over the birth.

However, pal Ryan Seacrest has now revealed he has spoken to the reality TV star over email, after he congratulated Kim on her new arrival.

Speaking on his KIIS-FM radio show, the American Idol host said that Kim replied: "Can't believe it - it's so crazy!"

Despite reports suggesting the couple have named their[uuid=fbf977ed-c91d-431a-a355-834587840549] baby girl Kaidence Donda West,[/uuid] Seacrest added that he does not know whether Kimye had named their daughter, but said Kim was "very, very excited."

E! News presenter Ken Baker later called into to Seacrest's show to explain that the birth "was not planned" to happen.

He stated: "This came on very quickly, and when it was time for the baby to come it was time for the baby to come. And you may have heard this, but the whole family was dispersed all over the place.

"We had Bruce [Jenner] in Vegas, and different people had different commitments, and Kris [Jenner] had some work things to do, so this was something that came at the very last minute that needed to be done.

"And she did have her baby and she is healthy and Kim is doing well - it's just going to take some time for recovery."

Baker went on to confirm that Kim had a natural birth and said her daughter was "just under five pounds", adding: "It was not an easy pregnancy.

"It was hard for her, and what I've been told is there's just a great sense of relief. Everyone is very happy for her and Kim is relieved. This has been a very stressful time, so it's very exciting for everyone."

Kim's friend Brittny Gastineau has since told People that Kimye's baby is "beyond beautiful", adding: "I'm so happy for the couple. I'm so excited for my best friend to have this amazing gift and for us to continue this journey together."
