Kim Kardashian Protests: Tear Gas Deployed

Bahrain police subdue crowd of protesters at shop opening...

Protesters against Kim Kardashian's visit to Bahrain have been quelled by police using tear gas, it has been reported.

Sky News
reports that around 50 hardline Islamic protesters turned up to the opening of Kim's Millions Of Milkshake shop in the Gulf state - bearing banners with phrases such as "Kim not welcome here".
The mayhem followed Sunni MPs floating a motion in the country's parliament calling her "an actress with an extremely bad reputation".
The politicians had failed to block Kim's visit, and security forces were deployed to subdue the crowd that gathered to protest at the milkshake concession in a Riffa shopping centre.
But Kim did not mention the trouble on her Twitter account, describing Bahrain as the "prettiest place on Earth" and writing "I'm in love with The Kingdom of Bahrain".

Kim's lawyer this week stated that she was [uuid=25bd8342-bd0d-4965-a8e6-6154989cab36]"handcuffed" to estranged husband Kris Humphries[/uuid].
