Kim Kardashian's New Jewellery Has Been Built INTO Her Skin
And it’s mind blowing.
We are well and truly living in the future folks as celebs like Kim Kardashian and Chrissy Teigen have posted pics and videos of themselves wearing 'body modification fashion pieces that have been ‘built’ into their skin.
We know this is weird AF but the statement pieces are strangely stunning. If you ever wanted to be bionic, we guess this is where you’d start.
The items are from an exhibit called A. Human, which is coming to New York City in September, and they look like futuristic cosmetic surgeries.
Kim posted a video on Twitter of herself sporting a form of light-up necklace that gives off the impression it’s some crazy high-tech cosmetic surgery, but don't worry, because it’s all just an illusion.
The jewellery flashes a yellow colour in time with Kim’s heartbeat (how cool is that?!) and she also showed it off in a series of videos on Instagram.
“My necklace glows like a heartbeat,” she said in one of the videos. “It moves to the rhythm of my heartbeat. Thank you A. Human.”
Chrissy Teigen had a piece that was built into her chest and while it doesn’t light up, it does looks as if she’s sprouting feathers.
And Queer Eye’s very own Tan France was also one of the lucky celebs that got to experience the collection before it goes on exhibit on September 5.
In a post on Instagram, the style guru said: “You guys!!! I was lucky enough to get an exclusive glimpse of A. Human’s new collection, and it looks like I’m taking something home!”
“This lil beauty is The Tudor, and you can see it for yourself this #NYFashionWeek when they open their flagship store. @Ahuman #Ahuman,” he finished up the post with.
The fashion brand is the brainchild of Simon Huck, a long-term friend of the Kardashians.
When talking about the pieces, he said: “It was important to root this experience in optimism while provoking our guests to think about a potential future of fashion, and by doing so, inviting them to question their definitions of self-expression.”
