Kim Kardashian’s Bodyguard Is Being Sued For $6.1 Million Over Her Paris Robbery
The KUWTK star was robbed of millions of pounds worth of jewellery back in 2016
Insurer AIG claims that Pascal Duvier and his company were “negligent” on the job, which resulted in the 37-year-old enduring a horrific and life-threatening experience that resulted in the theft of millions of pounds worth of jewellery.
At the time, Mr Duvier had left Kim in her apartment to accompany Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner to a nightclub appearance during Paris Fashion Week. It was in this time period that the robbers initiated their attack.
In a recent interview with French newspaper Le Journal Du Dimanche, Kim said: “They grabbed me and took me into the hallway. They tied me up with plastic cables and taped my hands, then they put tape over my mouth and my legs."
TMZ have also claimed that the lawsuit makes mention of several other factors that impacted the robbery. According to the site, the suit alleges that a missing lock and a broken security system meant that the thieves gained quicker access to the building.
French police arrested 17 people in connection with the robbery, before formally charging three men. Last year, Kim said that the ordeal made her a “different” person.
“It was a good seven or eight minutes of torture but when I look back and analyse it, it could have been worse," she revealed. “I'm home, I'm safe, I'm such a better person... I was definitely more materialistic before... I just don't care about that stuff anymore."
