Nude Kim Kardashian Statue Unveiled In Hollywood
Artist Daniel Edwards says his work hits back at Kim's baby weight criticism...
A nude statue of pregnant Kim Kardashian has been unveiled in Hollywood, California.
LA-based artist Daniel Edwards presented his creation at the LAB Art Gallery in Hollywood earlier this week as part of his Celebrity Baby Boomer series.
The stone statue shows a naked Kimmy's blossoming belly in its full glory, with visitors able to give her baby bump "a respectful rub for good luck and success."
Edwards also stated on his website that he wanted his work to act as response to those who have criticised the socialite's weight during her first pregnancy.
"I was inspired by the beauty of Kim Kardashian and felt quite put-off by the media’s criticism of her weight gain during pregnancy. Such criticism should be off limits."
He also told Los Angeles Magazine: "People tend to look at the parts, like the creases in her armpits, or how she wore a dress that makes her look like a killer whale.
"I'm stripping it of the details people get stuck on, so they can see the beauty."
Edwards has also created a bronze statue of Kim and partner Kanye West's unborn daughter, which he proudly displayed next to the statue of Kardashian.
Kim is yet to comment on his work.
