Police Race To Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Home After 'Swatting' Reports Of A Maid Being Shot
Kim and Kanye were the victims of a 'swatting' incident on Saturday, according to reports
The A List couple had their Bel Air home stormed by officers after it was claimed a maid had been shot inside their mansion.
However the reports that a shoot out happened in the home proved to be bogus with the event being written off as ‘swatting’.
Swatting is when a bogus call is made to authorities in order to draw police, ambulances and/or fire teams to a location under false claims.
Fortunately the shooting at Kim and Kanye’s house turned out be such a situation with a rep for the couple telling Us Weekly that any call made to the police had “nothing to do with Kim.”
An LAPD scanner monitoring Twitter account had claimed that a door was breached by police at Kim and Kanye’s house to discover if someone had been shot.
The Kardashians have been victims of swatting in the past – with a frustrated Kim taking to Twitter in 2013 after her mum, Kris Jenner, was the victim of a similar attack.
“These prank calls are NOT funny!” the star wrote at the time.
“People can get arrested for this! I hope they find out who is behind this. It’s dangerous & not a joke,” the sex tape star raged.
