World Cup Singer Kimberley Walsh Doesn't Follow Football

Ex-Girls Aloud star says she doesn't even have a favourite Premier League team...

Kimberley Walsh has admitted she isn't a big football fan - despite singing on England's official World Cup song.

The former Girls Aloud singer performed alongside the likes of Emma Bunton and Melanie C, as well as football players past and present, on the cover of Take That smash Greatest Day.

Kimberley, who is expecting her first baby with long-term partner Justin Scott, was shown looking relaxed during a break from the recording session in a photo posted on Twitter by Sport Relief.

However, she admitted that despite being called up to perform on the song she isn't a big football fan.

She told The Sun: “I don’t support any Premier League team but I always get involved with the World Cup and the Euros.”

The singer also revealed that she'd been helping to coach some of the players on their vocal techniques.

She added: “It was a bit of a struggle. Kenny Samson was quite loud and kept apologising. I got a personal analysis from Michael Owen about his famous World Cup goal. In return I gave him tips on rounding vocals off.”

The official 2014 World Cup song is the brainchild of Gary Barlow and former England footballer Gary Lineker.

The video for the song will premiere during Sport Relief on Friday 21 March.
