Kings Of Leon Slate Arcade Fire

Drummer Nathan Followill appears to call them ‘d**ks’...

Kings Of Leon drummer Arcade Firein an interview with Spin magazine.

In it, the drummer seemed to mock instrumentalist Richard Parry for his behaviour in Arcade Fire’s live shows. “Now it's cool to have 14 people in your band doing everything but contributing musically, running around with a helmet on your head, hitting it with a drumstick,” he said.

“You gotta look at what you're in this for: the love of music? The fame? You can have all that if you're smart and play your cards right and don't become a d**k.”

Meanwhile, Kings Of Leon seem to have come to the realisation that they’re one of the biggest bands on the planet. This week, Calem Followill said the guys have a new-found confidence thanks to their latest album, Come Around Sundown.

“If the world is looking for a big band from our generation, we at least want to give it a shot,” the frontman said. “We'll put ourselves up there against anyone because we're very competitive and we're family. Yeah, we'll give it a shot. I'm not afraid to at least try.

“You have to step up to the plate and say, 'All right, do I have it in me to be one of the biggest bands?'” Caleb continued. “Even though that's a lofty goal, you have to come to terms and say, 'Can I take the pressure?' We all agreed that we could.”
